Bunny Eggs

Kissing his egg...don't ask me why.

Eden's turn. My kids are so dramatic.

Getting started...on making a mess.

Nanny helping out.

Serious faces. This was serious business.

Finished product.

Happy Hunting.

Easter Bunny Visit and Monsters...

We spent the day with the kids and doing "fun" stuff all afternoon. Nanny took us shopping for Easter items, to visit the Easter bunny, and to watch Monsters VS Aliens. What a day. It was a good day to be in doors...the weather was awful and quite scary! Neither one of my kids are the least bit afraid of the bunny; Hank even asked to go back for a second visit (he is scared of everything). Nanny and I pulled out all old bunny photos, even before Hank was born. It is fun to look back and compare...they have grown so much.
Monster vs Aliens was the cutest movie. As an adult I am still at awe over 3D movies-the special effects were awesome. I would say that I am not so sure it was age appropriate with some of the references to "adult-type" situations. Other than that the kids loved it!
We then came home and hunkered down glued to the television and ready to take cover: the South got hit hard last night! Thank God, we are all safe and it all passed fairly quickly.

Happy Easter!

Game #2

Every game and practice has been either rained out or too cold to play...so we finally got around to playing the schedule. The Knockouts won 14-7! Eden had three hits and two runs...and was also able to do ballerina moves in the dirt. What a talented child...lol. She says her job is to create the cheers the girls will chant. What a little pistol. She is too funny:)

Time on the playground afterwards.

Frog Head

Hank sporting his frog Easter basket on his head this morning on the way to school. I asked if I could take a picture and he said "as long as you do it in the car and not inside." I cannot believe he is old enough to care what his friends think...too cute.

Little Mermaid

Eden had her recital pictures today. Her class (1st grade ballet) is doing "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid. The whole dance theatre's theme is "One World." Her full costume is complete with a tail and fin...can't wait how that turns out with fourteen 7 year olds on one stage.:)

Afterwards; a treat at Burger King and time on the playground.

"Birfday" Boy To-be

A bedtime conversation with Hank:
H-"Mommy, can I please sleep with you?"
M-"You are a big boy now and big boys sleep in their on beds. You are almost four, you know."
H-shakes his head
M-"Speaking of-we need to get started on planning your birthday."
H-"How do you start your birfday?"
Kelly chuckles behind me.
M-"Well, yours started when you came out of my tummy."
H-"So you have to eat me again for my birfday to get started?"

Oh, what a mess and how literal these little ones are. No, baby boy. I don't have to eat you so you can come out again....you will be four soon enough! And yes, we are getting started on planning your Braves-themed birfday party!

Eden's Poetry

Please take a look at Eden's blog (that I write what she dictates). She is so sweet and wrote a wonderful poem about me...it is so sweet, yet so child-like (you'll see).

Girl Time

We made it...in hurricane-type winds. What a wonderful trip!

First day on the beach playing Bocce Ball (my new favorite game). Enjoying such a beautiful day!

An afternoon at Pineapple Willy's and time spent on the pier getting burnt.

Eating dinner out our first night at Hammerhead Fred's where we shared an array of oysters...yummy! Look how red we are. Ouch.

Second day and ready to go again. We did, however, go puchase more sunscreen.

Last night dinner at Salt Water Grille. I ate here last summer with my sisters and Debra...so good. It is a piano bar and has such an atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

I was able to enjoy and bask in the sun for two days with four great friends! I love knowing that i can spend good quality time with my girlfriends...we had so much fun!! Thanks Mel for inviting us. Looking forward to doing it again...soon ;) Actually, my whole family is going back in June. I cannot wait...this trip was such a teaser.

Goin' Somewhere?

This is what I found as I began packing last night for my trip to the beach. I guess my baby boy wants to go with me!! Sweet baby--I will miss you guys...but I'll have tons of fun! Mommies need a trip away every once in a while.
Heidi, Mindy, Mel (Mindy's cousin), and I are all heading to Panama City Beach tomorrow...we cannot wait!!
