Softball End-of-Year Party and Game

We were finally able to celebrate the Knockout's great year. With All stars and family vacations it was hard to get the team together. Tonight we had pizza, cookie cake, trophies and a little friendly game of parents verses the kids. What a fun night for us all to get together. We have really created some great relationships with all of these families. Now we are looking forward to football and cheering season. Go Pleasant Grove!

Happy Birthday Riv

Yes, he had to have a Tennessee cake (boo), but we love him anyway. I can't believe this little blond hair, blue-eyed baby that I witnessed be born is now in the double digits. Ten years. Man how they fly. We love your River-man. Happy Birthday.

Some splash time for the boys.

My Day with Hank

I have been trying to divide up some individual quality time with the kids, Kelly and myself. On Tuesday Eden went to work with Kelly and Hank and I went to the mall. We had Chick-Fil-A and then took part in the "jumping thing" and a few arcade rides. Our day ended with a nice nap on the couch--a moment I always look forward to.

I took Eden last Friday to see the Hannah Montana Movie...she absolutely loved it and so did I. It was a really good day of eating Goober and popcorn and watching Miley:)

Plants Update

My beautiful plants:

Banana Peppers and Pimento Peppers. We have eaten several of the Banana's but still waiting on the Pimentos to turn red...waiting to make fresh Pimento Cheese salad.
Big Boy's...waiting to turn as well.
Green Bells and Grape/Cherry tomatoes. We have eaten our fair share of these.

My Roma tomatoes...only two that have bloomed. Unfortunately this plant has not done too well.

The Beef Steaks...haven't had any ready to pick yet either. :(
Red Bell Peppers and Jalapenos....still waiting for the peppers but have happily used the jalapenos in a couple of salads and omelets. Yummy

I am loving my hanging garden. Daily I am able to pick my small tomatoes for omelets, salads, etc. I have also used my jalapenos in fresh peach salsa, nachos one night, and in a salad. I am still patiently awaiting the maturity of my other plants. I wish I had more room to have planted more...one of each just isn't enough. Maybe next year. :)

Little BIG Time

Eden made our local paper this week! She is attending a Movie Mania camp at the Creative Arts Guild and was photographed on the first day. She was so excited and so were we. She will attend the camp for two weeks and on the final day (July 17) they will perform their version of Kung Fu Panda.

She is sort of obsessed with being famous one day and this is only making it worse:) Just keep working hard baby girl. You are already famous in your own right!

We love you.

July 4th Weekend

Our Holiday weekend started out with a bang at the Lookout's game with a great Fireworks show and dinner at Mellow Mushroom.
On Saturday we hung out pool side with family and friends; Jen, Christy (Jen's friend from AL), Brandy, and Preston. I made a huge Boston Butt with the best BBQ sauce, Cole slaw pasta salad, and homemade Peach Salsa (the best) and then off to the Patterson's for more food, music, and fireworks. Great and busy day!
Sunday was just us and Country-style ribs...yummy!

Happy Fourth of July!
