Art with Aunt Jenn

Donna and Jennifer were in town this weekend. On Saturday night it was just us girls and the kiddos and decided to dive into several art projects. We took a trip to Hobby Lobby where Jennifer helped pick out paint, brushes, some canvases (for future use) and these wooden projects inspired by the kids. Eden's is a jewelry box created by her current love of drawing tie-dyed pictures and zebra-stripes. Hank's, of course, is sports related and he threw in the " no girls allowed" to hang on his door in hopes of keeping his sister out. The kids did a great job and were very interested in learning all they could from Aunt Jenn. Great job guys :)

St. Patrick's Day...as close as we'll get!

This year we opted to stay home from Savannah to celebrate our Irish heritage (not)!! We celebrated with friends at our local Dalton establishment! I love Kelly's shirt...reminds of our old dating days (a whole other story). Lovely times. :)

State Bound

My Alma Mater made to the Georgia AAAA State Championship game for the first time in twenty years! Very exciting. We made the trip to Gwinnett County to cheer on the girls. It is so crazy...I remember when a couple of the seniors were born...wild! Congrats girls--too bad we didn't get the outcome we wanted!

Losing Count...

I am not even sure exactly how many snow days we have had this year...but more than I can recall since I was a child. It has been a lot of fun having opportunities to be home with the kids and to experience the fun of the snow. This time we had made snow cream...the kids were so excited to collect the snow and then help me turn it to "cream!"
Enjoying the sweet stuff!
Some shots I took of the snow...these were literally some of the biggest flakes I have ever seen.

Remodeling Project...Finally!

The kids' bathroom remodeling project:

Before with the wallpaper half-removed.
In the process:

I LOVE the color!
Our crazy texturing process
Kristy working hard!
End results:

I love it!! Thanks to great friends Phillip and Kristy for their help and expertise! I love the trim and bead board-it adds such style to the room. The kids love it too!
