Our Cause

Alzheimer's Association Annual Memory Walk...R.I.P Papaw Hoss.

It's been 21 years now since my grandfather passed away at the age of 55 from this deadly, degenerating disease. Our family, headed up by my grandmother, participates in this walk every year to raise money for a cure. It is a great time of family togetherness and a time to look back and remmember our lost family member.

Mommy Night

During football season my babies get me all to themselves on Friday nights due to daddy's side-job as a high school referee. We try to find things to bide our time...this week we headed up to Hamilton Place for some shopping, playing and of cousrse, eating! We love our Mommy Nights :)

Big Weekend, Birthday Weekend

Our day started with an early morning football game with Eden at Pleasant Grove. She is such the little cheerleader and definitely loves the attention she receives! This game, however, was rained out after half-time. Just a start to our long day :)

"Curling the C"

Hank had his second game today and for obvious reasons, we didn't have high expectations of him to participate today. But to our surprise...he lit up the field! Once this little man got a taste of the competitiveness around the game he was all over the place. He scored three times and was quite the go-getter. Words cannot express how excited and proud of him we were. You go Hankie!

Hank's first of 3 goals for the game!

My UGA birthday party at Heidi and Justin's with a large group of some of our friends. We had such a great time cheering on our dogs, eating chili and Brunswick stew, and singing along to The Beatles Rock Band at the end of the night! Thanks guys, for yet another memorable birthday :)

Game Opening Weekend

Boy do I have my hands full this fall. Two kids in activities...I guess there is always a first for everything! Eden has always been our little participant but with Hank's fourth birthday occurring in May we are entering a world full of busy children! Four is the age of soccer in our town (and probably others that we unfortunately missed) and by way of his big sister Eden, Hank has been introduced to this "no hands" sport that is so widely popular. While his first love will always be baseball, and football, and oh yeah tennis (that's a whole other post for another day) Hank has chosen soccer to pass his time till next Spring and to introduce him in to the world of team sports! What a journey we are about to embark on ...we shall see what the future brings with this one :)
Of course, Edibug is cheering it up! What else could be so fitting for a child with such hunger to speak loudly and grab as much attention as possible. She loves cheering! She is quite good at it.
Here is a little peak in to their first Saturday on their fields. Eden has yet to receive her uniform and Hank's pre-game face was much more attractive than his post-game-crying-I don't think I can handle my mom being the coach and on the field with me-I am not going back in-face! Yeah, that was our outcome...we are still praying for a better turnout this Saturday. :)
So stay posted-for we have a busy season ahead...
Ready for action...!

Labor Day '09

What a great way to end Summer....a weekend away on the lake with great friends and football! We had the best set-up for the whole Summer (as far as accommodations go) with the camper and cable TV! GA football got under way and we said good-bye to yet another fabulous season. We traveled about an hour south with 13+ friends and family to Lake Allatoona in Cartersville (GA) for a three day vacation on the water. It was good food and great times with some of our best friends. Our kids enjoy these types of vacations over most things that we do as a family. They love running barefoot, eating marshmellows off sticks, and splashing through muddy water--we hope these memories will last them a lifetime.
Here are some pictures that captivated our weekend...

Eating S'mores, building "thrones", tossing footballs and tackling, and playing with their bikes!
Cocktail Cove...the most congested waterway I have ever seen. This place was packed litterally with hundreds of boats tied up and even folks launching water balloons from the shorelines...probably having a little too much fun! :)
A relaxing end to an exhausting weekend! The kids with Boone (The Morrison's dog) napping after a long weekend on the lake!

Here is to a great Summer we will never forget! Now on to Fall and all it has to offer...
