Preschool Party

My baby boy is 3 today; well not actually till 11:05 tonight, but oh well! I am holding on to every minute that my baby is still a baby! For some reason 3 is a BIG deal to me. I don't know if it is because that is how old Eden was turning when Hank was born and it symbolized the end of her being a baby, or what. I just can't help but be sentimental today! But here are pictures from his party I had at the Preschool. I made the cupcakes and then he and his friends all decorated them with sprinkles as we all sang Happy Birthday!

By the way--he picked out the cherry (pink) icing himself!

"Hand"-Made

"Mommy, I love you for all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too
You feed me and need me
To teach you to play,
So smile 'cause I love you
On this Mother's Day!"

My Special Day

Mother's day is so special to me; not for my own selfish reasons of getting special treatment from Kelly, nor for the hand-made gifts from my babies--but just for the mere fact that God chose me to mother these two beautiful and miraculous children! My heart is full of joy for everyday that I am blessed with my children.

Field Day

Today was Eden's first ever Field Day! She had so much fun and did really well in her events. It was neat to see her get excited and to understand the concept of the competition with her fellow Kindergarten classes. Although her class did not win First place, she did celebrate several victories--her favorite was the Tug-of-War!

Me and My Edibug!

Sicko Kiddos

The Hurts and the Scruggs both had sick little 2 year-olds over the weekend--so what do you do? You have a get-together!! At least that is what we did!
We sent all the healthy kids to the healthy homes (i.e. grandparents and great aunts) and let the sick ones play together! What fun they had during their "fever-free, Tylenol induced" time...watching Nemo and eating popsicles while the grown-ups sat outside listening to the Braves! What a fun evening!

Mrs. Billy To Be!

Sheila and I at her baccalaureate party! Congrats girl---you are going to love married life!! I am so excited for you!

"It's May, Momma!"

May is a very exciting and very busy month for us! Kelly and I were blessed with both of our beautiful babies in the month of May. Eden May 31 and Hank May 13! WOW!
Eden is just ecstatic that it is May--mainly because all year long she asks "when is it MY birthday?" Well, now it is here my sweet baby girl, and you will be 6 years old! I cannot believe it has been 6 years since Kelly and I so anxiously awaited the birth of our first born and 3 years for our baby boy--how time flies!
So here we are another year and two more birthday parties to plan--it is a fun yet bitter sweet time. My babies are getting older and as Eden said this morning (I think either her Ganny or Nanny told her) "you will blink Mommy and I will be 10." What a wise little girl you are my precious Edibug and yes before I know it you will be gone; but I still have 12 more years, so don't grow up too fast! I love you both so very much, you will never know! What is it Ganny says? "To the moon and back..." and beyond!!

Eden around 18 months old!

Hank around 11 months!
